ISDN Software Celebrates 2 Year Anniversary with an Industrial Innovation Challenge 2021

Singapore, 9 June, 2021 – ISDN Software Business (“ISDN”) is celebrating their 2nd year anniversary and will be organising a competition, Industrial Innovation Challenge 2021 in conjunction with their latest business milestone.

The Covid-19 pandemic brought about significant changes to the manufacturing and industrial automation industry. Safe distancing measures, remote working arrangements, workplace hygiene concerns pose implementation challenges for factories that typically rely on a strong onsite workforce to carry out operation and maintenance work.

“Companies that had already begun the digital transformation process to update their technology to meet the Industry 4.0 era standards would have coped better during the 2020 Covid-19 crisis, whereas companies that were later to the bandwagon had to quickly implement remote working capabilities in a matter of weeks or months to continue operations during the lockdown period,” said Mr GK Tay, General Manager of ISDN Software Business.

This quick timeline for change is a key backdrop for the Process Design Case Competition that ISDN Software Business, together with its partners AVEVA and Stratus Technologies, is organising. The competition seeks to get participants to apply their process design skills to solve real-world design problems that factories are facing today.

Participants will be mentored and supported by expert leaders from ISDN Software Business, AVEVA and Stratus Technologies throughout the competition.

“Today’s manufacturing and industrial automation landscape have its unique operating challenges, as companies make the transition to smart factory technologies. Through this competition, we hope to share our know-how and industry experience with the participants, and to provide a glimpse into the real-world challenges that our clients face,” said Mr GK Tay.
