Singapore, 16 February 2024 — In a remarkable display of innovation and technical prowess, the team from Temasek Polytechnic has been crowned champions at the prestigious ISDN Innovation Challenge 2023. The winning team, comprising Anurag P.S, Rishi Subhash Kumar, students of the Diploma in Mechatronics and Xuanye, student of the Diploma in Game Design programs, demonstrated outstanding ingenuity and strategic thinking in addressing complex industry challenges.
Guided by their mentor, Frederick Matibag, the team tackled the challenge set by ISDN Software, where Company EFG, operating in a data-saturated environment, found it challenging to harness information for actionable insights due to the cumbersome nature of manual data analysis, despite having access to extensive operational data.
Temasek Polytechnic’s solution was both elegant and robust, focusing on the integration of Cogent Datahub to consolidate disparate data streams, thereby enabling real-time data insights on productivity. They further enhanced their system with a sustainability dashboard and developed a geo-spatial application for the real-time monitoring of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and CO2 emissions.
Their pioneering solution earned them the top prize, a handsome reward of $2,000 in vouchers, generously sponsored by ISDN Software Business and the IEEE Computer Society.
